University of Nicosia

The University of Nicosia is the only private university in Cyprus to be ranked one of the main global university ranking organisations.

In 2019. UNIC was ranked QS World University Rankings, placing #91 in the Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) Region.

The 2019 “QS World University Rankings: EECA”, released on 31 October 2018, place the University of Nicosia (UNIC) in the top 100 universities in the region, in which approximately 1,800 universities operate.

More specifically, UNIC was ranked number 91 in the Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) Region, out of the 450 universities that had applied and were assessed (and ultimately 300 ranked) this year the global rankings agency.

Studying abroad is Cyprus is way cheaper than studying in USA, UK, France, Germany, etc. However, it is still studying abroad and it more expensive than studying in your home country. When deciding to study abroad, there are many costs students must consider as they make their budgets. These mainly include:

Foundation/Preparatory School / Course / Program

Applicant who don’t have English proficiency results are given a simple (street conversation level) English test. Those who fail are given English course for one or two semesters before they start the main courses. Also applicant who have deficiency course (not enough of the prerequisite courses) are also giving such courses before they start their main program.
